Paul R. Danley died peacefully on June 29, 2023 at Broadstone Memorial Hospital in Superior, Nebraska. He was born to Earl Leroy and Florence (Drinkwater) Danley on August 28, 1938 in Joplin, Missouri.
Paul attended school in Joplin before relocating to Colorado. He had four children, Judy, Carol, Lissa, and Michael. He gained two step-daughters, Michelle and Patty when he married Rose. They later relocated to her hometown of Mankato.
He was a lifelong HVAC technician, owning his own business in Colorado and Missouri.
He was a member of the Shriners and Elks Lodge, and attended the Baptist Church in Ionia with Rose. He loved to golf and to fish, but was most well known for being the Master of Green Chili, winning 1st prize in many cook-offs.
He is preceded in death by his parents, children Lissa Danley and Michael Danley, and siblings Clarence, George, Jerry, Patsy, Mary, and Bobby.
He will be forever remembered by his wife of over 50 years Rose Danley; daughters Judy Dicks and Carol Kraber; son-in-law Danny Dicks; stepdaughters Michelle Johnson (Bruce), and Patty Segura; grandchildren Jimmy, Paul, John, Eric, Susan, Randy, Carolanne, Christine, Breanna, Jason, and Dominic; brothers Donald and Allen; and sisters Shirley and Linda.
Cremation was chosen and a Graveside Memorial Service will take place on Monday, August 28, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at Ionia Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Shriners Hospitals for Children. They can be sent in care of the funeral home to 402 N. High Street, Mankato, KS, 66956.
