Judy Jean Miller was born July 22, 1945 to Herman and Phyllis (Bossen) Hake on a farm in Esbon, KS.
Judy moved to the family farm with her Grandparents at the age of 10 years old and attended Esbon Schools till Graduation in 1963.
Just was united in marriage to Morris Hillman on September 15, 1963, in Ionia, KS. To this union, four children were born; Ranae Lynn, Shelli Anette, Shane LeRoy, and Renita Faye. This marriage was dissolved. In August of 1997, Judy married Ed Miller of Salina, KS.
Judy had a love for People. She worked numerous places throughout her life. The two places she so enjoyed working at as a CNA was Presbyterian Manor in Salina, KS, and Jewell County Hospital of Mankato, KS. Those two places were where she could take care of people and that’s what she loved to do.
One of Judy’s main hobbies was being a seamstress, and spending time with her grandkids. Judy really enjoyed sitting with her friends at the round table in the little community that she lived in.
Judy’s getting away time, she loved going to spend time with her brother, Jim Hake and wife Doris in Concordia. She would take her laundry and they would watch movies, wash laundry, and reminisce all weekend. She also loved helping her sister Debbie Kearn in the kitchen at there auction house in Concordia.
Judy lost her 12 year battle with cancer on January 4, 2020 at the Republic County. Hospital with her family by her side.
Judy is survived by her children; Ranae Jacobs and partner Shawn Frost, Esbon; Shelli Kuhlmann, Mankato; Renita Volker and husband Cody, Burr Oak; Shane Hillman, Scandia; Jud Freeman, Hutchinson; Coleen Muir, Salina; Tessa McMains and husband Nate, Burr Oak; A very dear friend, Donald Tiger Long, Mankato; a brother, Jim Hake and wife Doris, Wichita; sisters Patty Kiel, Salina; Debbie Kearn and husband Dannie, Concordia; Joye Roush, Ionia; and numerous nieces and nephews; 18 Grandchildren and 24 Great-grandchildren.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, Phyliss and Herman Hake; Grandparents, Clyde and Georgene Bossen; Brothers Lonnie and Richie Hake; an infant son Zachary Keith Noller and granddaughter Tamara Michelle Kuhlman.
