Stephen Lee Schultz, 75, of Mankato, KS passed away Friday, May 31, 2019. Steve was born in Hastings, NE on July 26th, 1943 to Rosemary (Boudreau) and Albert Schultz. Steve attended Adams City High School in Commerce City, CO. He went on to proudly serve in the United States Navy from 1961-1966. During his service he met and married his wife of 53 years, Betty Marie (Dennis) Schultz. They have three children, Roger, Rebecca and Jason. Steve joined the Cement Mason's Local Union and began his career in concrete and construction. In 1983 he started contracting on his own. Steve owned and operated his own business in Strasburg, Colorado for 19 years. In 2002, he retired and moved to Mankato, Kansas. Steve enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and never missed a chance to go hunting and fishing.

Steve is survived by his wife, Betty Marie Schultz (Mankato, KS). Three children: Roger (Sara) Schultz (Upton, WY), Rebecca (Charlie) Arms (Crown Pointe, IN), Jason (Torri) Schultz (North Platte, NE). Six grandchildren: Bodie, Cash and Mace Schultz (Upton, WY), Amalia and Charles Arms (Crown Pointe, IN), Tyler (Naomi) Schultz (North Platte, NE). And one great-granddaughter Quinn Schultz. Half- brothers: Gregory Williams (Gillette, WY). Dan Schultz (San Pedro, CA), Max Schultz, (San Pedro, CA), John Schultz (Prescott, AZ) and one half- sister Judy Forrester (Rancho Palles Verde, CA).

Steve is preceded in death by his mother Rosemary Williams, father Albert Schultz, brother Gary Schultz and half-brother Michael Clifford.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Melby Mortuary, Mankato, Kansas, was in charge of arrangements.
