Rose Zella Margaret (Catt) Freisner, of Esbon, Kansas, was born to John and Gertrude (Bowker) Catt on September 20, 1944 at East Lyne, Missouri. She died November 3, 2018 at Burlington, Kansas, at the age of 74 years, 1 month, and 13 days.
She was married and later divorced William Oelke, and Ralph Freisner. She raised three children – William, Rene, and Shianne.
Rose enjoyed cooking. She worked for Paul’s Café, in Smith Center, and in later years, she milked cows for Mr. and Mrs. Gregg Flavin at Esbon. Rose had a love for the outdoors, animals, real and imaginary, like unicorns. The old country music would bring a smile and a spring to her step.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers. She leaves to mourn her death, her daughters – Frankie Carr (adopted and blessed to be raised as her niece), and her children – Jamie who has three children – Shayne, Austin, and Graycen, Lacie and her children – Layton and a baby in November, Garrett and Colton, Rene (Oelke) Pinder and daughters – Jaqueitha Gardner and Rikki Judson; and son – Simon Gardner; Shianne (Freisner) Crisp and 8 daughters – Keilea Sawyer and son – Josiah Powell, Keyarrah Sawyers, Extacy Crisp, Karma Crisp, Sophia Crisp, Maia Crisp, Divinity Crisp, and Serenity Crisp; and a son – William Freisner; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life service for Rose Z.M. Freisner will be (was) Thursday, November 15, 2018, at 2:00 p.m., First United Methodist Church, Esbon, Kansas, with Pastor Edgar Marihugh officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date according to family wishes. Memorials in honor of Rose Freisner can be given to the charity of the donor’s choice. Melby Mortuary, Mankato, Kansas, was in charge of arrangements.
