Robert L. Pope

Robert L. “Bob” Pope was born on March 5, 1943, in Colby, Kansas, the son of Lawrence R. & Thersa I. (Wilson) Pope. He passed away on May 3, 2023, at the age of 80, in Mankato, Kansas.

Bob graduated from Seldan (KS) High School. He was united in marriage to Sharon Greenberg, and to this union three children were born. They were later divorced.

Bob worked as a semi truck driver, and for the Baalman family near Menlo, Kansas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Julie Pope, son Russ Pope, and his dog Patches.

He is survived by his daughters; Lisa Winter and Kari Morris (Vern) of Mankato, daughter in law Linda Pope, grandchildren Shawna, Alec, Chris, Cody, Megan and Mitchell, brother James “Jim” and his wife Glee of Arizona, and his dog Buddy. Bob is also survived by his second family, Brian and Sheri Baalman, and their family.

Private services will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to Jewell Co. Strong, and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
