Merrill James Standley, age 72, entered into rest on Monday 27, 2025, in Smith Center, Kansas. He was born February 21,1952, in Beloit, Kansas to James and Dorintha (Becker) Standley.
He was a 1970 graduate of Esbon High School, Esbon, Kansas.
Merrill was an active member of the E.L.C Church of Mankato, Mankato, Ks.
Merrill grew up on a family farm which made his love for the outdoors strong. In his younger years he liked to hunt and fish. Merrill also had a soft spot for his family pets especially his latest dog Taz who was a Westie. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Merrill is survived by his daughter, Tina Zeller (Charles) Manhattan, Kansas; and his five grandchildren, Makayla Huey (Coleman), Manhattan, Kansas; Zakary Zeller, Manhattan, Kansas; Adalynn Zeller, Manhattan, Kansas; Mason Mackey, Denver, Colorado; and Clay Mackey, Denver, Colorado; three brothers, Kenneth Standley, Lebanon, Kansas; Kevin Standley, Osborne, Kansas; Rodney Standley, Lenexa, Kansas; and one sister, Diana Feldmann, Smith Center, Kansas; companion, Kay Beck, Salina, Kansas; along with many other relatives and special friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents James and Dorintha (Becker) Standley.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Odessa Cemetery, 155 K Rd, Lebanon, KS, with Dennis Beckmann officiating. Following the graveside service there will be a small gathering for fellowship and light refreshments at the E.L.C Church of Mankato, Mankato, Ks.
