Junior Ray Myers

Junior Ray Myers, age 89, of Topeka, Kansas, died Wed., July 24, 2019 at Tammy the Pro Home Plus, Topeka, KS.  He was born on Jan. 26, 1930 in Otego, KS to Herman & Nina (Pierce) Myers.

Ray graduated from Mankato High school in 1948.

He married Wanda L. Terrill on May 25, 1952 in Burr Oak, KS.  She survives the home.

Ray was a salesman for Sears and retired in 1988.

Ray is survived by his wife, Wanda, Topeka; son, Brad Myers (Amy), Urbana, MO; daughters,  Cherida DeWitt, Osage City, KS; Nancy Escalante, Topeka; brother, Lewis Myers, Hastings, NE; sister, Sylvia Kell, OR; 9 Grandchildren; 18 Great grandchildren &  1 Great great granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 9 brothers and sisters; and 1 granddaughter.

Visitation will be Monday, July 29, 2019 from 1-2:30 pm at Melby Mortuary, Mankato and a graveside service will be at 3:00 pm at the Burr Oak Cemetery, Burr Oak, KS with Pastor Jim Rice officiating.  The family suggests memorials to Alzheimer’s Assoc. in care of the funeral home.  For online condolences, please visit www.melbymortuary.com .
