MARY LEANNE CLEMONS
Leanne Clemons , 68, died on December 14, 2009 in Newnan, Ga of heart failure. Leanne was born on May 12, 1941 in Esbon, Kansas to Maxine and Wilbur Clemons, both deceased. She was the loving mother of Jeanette McKenzie, Curtis Higbee and Kelly DeLeon and the loving grandmother to Clint, Doran, Danielle, Meagan and Cody. She is also survived by her brothers, Bill and Barry Clemons, and her sisters, Pat Blair and Linda Clemons. She was preceded in death by her brothers Jerry and Michael Clemons.

Since 1982, Leanne lived abroad in Australia, England and France and had the opportunity to work in many countries around the world. She was an independent thinker, intellectual, an advocate for social and economic justice and a great mother to her children. She made many friends in many countries and kept in touch with them throughout the years. She loved adventure and was always willing to pursue a new challenge. Her biggest love was France, where she spent many years living and running a guesthouse in Bourgvillan. She made good friends there and they will miss her very much.

A memorial service to honor her life will be held at 11:00am on June 08, 2010 at the Burr Oak Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the country of Haiti or the charity of your choice.
