C. Bradley Keeler

C. Bradley Keeler formerly of Formoso, Kansas, was born on a farm east of Montrose, Kansas, on January 13, 1916, to Charles Andrew and Bessie Jeanette (Hayworth) Keeler. He died Wednesday, May 12, 2010, at the Belleville Health Care, Belleville, Kansas, at the age of 94 years, 3 months, and 29 days.

Bradley and his parents later moved to a farm two miles south of Montrose. He attended Rockdale Grade School, near Montrose, and Montrose High School graduating in 1935.

He was married to Maxine Dahl on August 9, 1936. They lived near Montrose, Kansas until 1945, when they moved to a farm near Formoso, Kansas, and lived there until 1984. Bradley and Maxine moved to Formoso.

Bradley was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Maxine on December 13, 2000; his sister, Pauline Hamilton; and a brother, John Keeler, who was killed in 1944 in World War II.

He is survived by two children, Alma Jo and husband Roland Bonjour of Topeka, Kansas; and Larry and wife Glenda Keeler of Bonner Springs, Kansas; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; and a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life service for C. Bradley Keeler, will be (was) Monday, May 17, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. at the Formoso Community Church, Formoso, Kansas, with Pastor Gene Little, officiating. Mrs. Judy Blackburn was the organist, and Mrs. Diane Boman sang, "Going Home" and "Amazing Grace". The congregation sang, "Old Rugged Cross" and "Beyond The Sunset". Casket bearers were: Robert Bonjour, Tim Keeler, John Keeler, Rodney Kane, Neil Bonjour, and Delno Reed. Interment will be (was) in the Pleasant View Cemetery, rural Montrose, Mankato, Kansas. The family strongly suggests memorials to the Formoso Community Church, Memorial Fund.
