Karen Brown

Karen L. Brown, of Great Bend, Kansas, the daughter of Darold and Betty (Grimes) Mckinnis, was born October 5, 1954. She passed away, Sunday, March 5, 2017, at the Hays Medical Center, Hays, Kansas, at the age of 62 years, and 5 months.

Karen married David Brown on October 20, 1972, at Lyons, Kansas. This union was blessed with three sons. She was a homemaker, mother, and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Mckinnis; and her husband, David Brown on May 28, 2007.

She is survived by her three sons – Joe and wife, Angela Brown of Mankato, Kansas, Justin and wife, Sheena Brown of Hoisington, Kansas, and Jason Brown of Larned, Kansas; her father, Darold Mckinnis of Arkansas City, Kansas; sixteen grandchildren; host of other relatives and friends.

Memorial graveside service will be (was) held, Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at the Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery, Lyons, Kansas. Melby Mortuary, Mankato, Kansas, was in charge of service arrangements. Online condolences can be left at www.melbymortuary.com.
