Diana Le Dethloff

March 16, 1952 — April 4, 2009

Diana Le (Ost) Dethloff, was born March 16, 1952, in Concordia, Kansas, to Arden and
Marcella Ost, and passed away April 4, 2009, at Promise Regional Medical Center,
Hutchinson, Kansas, at the age of 57 years.

Diana grew up on the family farm south of Burr Oak. A 1970, graduate of Burr Oak
High School, Diana attended Kansas Wesleyan University and Kansas State University.
On August 19, 1972, She married Mike Dethloff in Burr Oak. Diana worked on the
family farm until 1998, and then worked for Central National Bank in Mankato and
Formoso, Kansas. She also served as the City Clerk of Burr Oak for 32 years.

Diana attended the United Methodist Church in Burr Oak, and was a lifetime member
of American Legion Auxiliary Emory Clemens Unit # 263. She also was an
accompanist for countless church services, weddings, and funeral services.

Preceding her in death were her father, Arden Ost; father-in-law, Roland "Red" Dethloff;
mother-in-law, Phyllis Dethloff; uncles, Milford Ost, Emerald Ost, and Glenn Snyder;
and aunt, Marilyn Snyder.

Survivors include her husband, Mike Dethloff of Burr Oak; daughter, Lisa M. Dethloff
of Hutchinson, Kansas; daughter, Barbara (Dethloff) Jones and husband, Colby of
Olathe; mother, Marcella Ost of Burr Oak; brother LaVon and wife, Judy Ost of Burr
Oak; niece, Marcie and husband, Mike Stegman and children - Megan, Heidi, and
Joseph of Washington; nephew, Kevin and wife, Nikki Ost of Mankato; brother-in-law,
Les and wife, Janice Dethloff, Nephew Russell, and niece, Jessica of Concordia; sister-in-
law, Margaret and husband, Norman Zoch, and nieces Julie and Carolyn of Lincoln,
Nebraska; aunt and uncle, Milo and Doris Matousek of Mankato; aunt and uncle, Floyd
and Mary Fugate of Lenexa; aunt Anne Ost of Mankato, and aunt Bev Ost of Holdrege,
Nebraska.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 7, 2009, at the
United Methodist Church, Burr Oak, Kansas. Graveside services will follow at the Burr
Oak Cemetery, Burr Oak, Kansas. The family suggest memorial to be given in Diana
Dethloff’s memory in care of the family. Condolences may be sent to
