Betty Jane “Janie” Hall Obituary

Betty Jane “Janie” (May) Hall was born January 1, 1964, in Belleville, Kansas, to Harold and Betty (Crouch) May. She died August 4, 2015, as a result of injuries she sustained in a car accident near Formoso, Kansas.

Janie graduated from Burr Oak High School in 1982, and went on to study nursing at Cloud County Community College. She graduated from C.C.C.C. in 1985 with an Associate R.N. Degree. Janie did Contract nursing in Arkansas as a Home Health Care Pediatric Nurse.
She attended Olive Hill Church as a child and throughout her teenage years.

Janie married Douglas Hall on October 21, 1989, at Olive Hill Church, Jewell County, Kansas. One son Caleb was born to this union on August 10, 1990.

She loved to work in flower gardens, decorating, and doing all sorts of crafts.
Janie was preceded in death by her father, Harold May; and brother, Roy May.

She is survived by husband Doug; a son Caleb, Mankato, Kansas; mother Betty May, Mankato; brothers, Bill May, Burr Oak, Kansas, and Doug and wife, Mary May, Mount Hope, Kansas; sisters, Martina May, Salina, and Susan and husband, Ken Winslow, North Branch, Kansas; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be (was) 9:00 to 8:00 Thursday, with the family greeting friends from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be (were) held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 7, 2015, from the Baptist Church, Mankato, Kansas, with Pastor Todd Bradrick officiating. Interment was in Mount Hope Cemetery, Mankato, Kansas. The family asks that memorials may be made to the family. Melby Mortuary, Mankato, was in charge of arrangements.
