Rex Dale Weaverling of Mankato Kansas passed away on August 28 2014.
To welcome Rex into heaven is his father Arch, mother Vera, sister Betty and sister Lois, along with many friends and colleagues.
Those who will celebrate his life everyday are his wife Frances, Sue and Philip Walton, Brandon, Emily and baby Brady Barkley, Brett Ernst and Ali Wilson, Donovan, Monica, Alli and Emma Walton David, Jamie, Lorenzo, Jermiah, Isabel and Kloe Walton, Jeff and Cindy Weaverling, Daniel and Anne Weaverling and Levi Weaverling. Diann, Sydney and Ian Weaverling.
Bob and Doris Weaverling, Darrell and Shirley Weaverling and Norma Beasley.
As well as many many many nieces and nephews both near and far.
Rex married Frances Hanson on Sept 6 1952 in Mankato Ks. Rex and Frances were married nearly 62 years. Theirs was a loving and special relationship that we all admired. We remember lots of hand holding, stolen kisses and loving moments.
Although Rex never lived away from North Central Kansas he touched so many lives in his 85 years of living. We will always remember his early morning singing and quick wit.
We are all better people for knowing Rex and not a day will go by when we do not think of him and smile.
A celebration of life service for Rex D. Weaverling, will be (was) Monday, September 1, 2014, at 10:30 a.m., at the Evangelical Lutheran Church, Mankato, Kansas, with Pastor Dennis Beckmann and Mr. Kelly McNichols officiating. Inurnment will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery, Mankato, Kansas. The family will receive friends, Sunday, August 31, 2014, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 pm. The family will name charities for the memorials at a later date. Online condolences maybe left at www.melbymortuary.com.
