David Herbert Marhenke

David Herbert Marhenke born November 4, 1940, at Lyons, Burt County, Nebraska, and died Dec 7, 2013, Belleville Health Care, Belleville, Kansas, at the age of 73 years.

He leaves to mourn brothers - Robert (Bob) Lincoln, Nebraska and Carl Tekamah, Nebraska, a nephew and several nieces. Preceded in death by his parents Walter and Mary (Corey) Marhenke, his brothers William (Billy), Richard (Dick) and a sister Elizabeth (Betty).

David was born on a farm in rural Burt County, Nebraska. He was injured in the birth process becoming severely incapacitated his entire life. The family soon moved to a farm in Republic County, Kansas just south of Hubbell, Nebraska where he lived until the early 1960's when his aging parents placed his care with the State of Kansas. After living in various care facilities, his home for the last thirteen years has been, Belleville Health Care Center where he has been loved and cared for by many loving people.

Grave side service For David Herbert Marhenke will be 11:00 a.m., December 12, 2013, at the Lyons Cemetery, Lyons, Nebraska. Interment will follow beside his parents and siblings. The family suggests memorials to Wesleyan Church Youth Group@ Belleville, Meadowlark Hospice @Clay Center Kansas.
