Annabelle L. (Kinsey) Keeler

October 13, 1919 — January 30, 2013

Annabelle (Kinsey) Keeler, 93 of Belleville, Kansas, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013. She was born Oct. 13, 1919 at Montrose, Kansas, to Fred and Anna Belle (Rogers) Kinsey. She attended Montrose Schools and Ottawa University in Ottawa, Kansas.
Ann married Donald S. Keeler on December 10, 1937 in Smith Center, Kansas. To this marriage five children were born.

She was a house wife during their early years of marriage. Ann and Don moved to Wichita, Kansas, in 1957. Ann worked at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita for 25 years, retiring in 1982 and moving to Formoso, Kansas, with her husband. After retirement Don and Ann enjoyed traveling, church work, gardening and visiting with family and friends. After his death, Ann continued traveling, church work, family and gardening. Ann was a member of the Montrose Methodist Church, Montrose Community Club, FCE, Naomi Chapter 28, Eastern Star of Beloit. One of her goals was to visit every State Capital in the United States. She visited 45 State Capitals.

She was preceded in death by husband- Don in 1990, son-in-law- Dwayne Rogers and three grandchildren.- Charles LaVerne, Scott Alfred, and Andrea Nicole.

Survivors include daughter, Carol and husband, Criss York of Wichita; Donnie and wife, Margaret Keeler, of Oak Island, North Carolina; Garry and wife, Sharon Keeler, of Baldwin City, Kansas; Larry and wife, Judy Keeler, of Salem, Oregon; and Stanley and wife, Patsy Keeler of Oswego, Illinois; 22 grandchildren - Carol: Patti Jean, M. Jolene Harper (Kevin), Jennifer Milburn (Troy), Tonya Wilson (Ray), Melissa Tredway (Jeremy), Kyle York and a daughter –in –law, Linda Smith-Rogers; Donnie: Gregory Scott (Christine), Toni Ann Griffin (Rick), Tamera Jo Russell (Randy), Brian (Marilyn), Christopher (Angel); Garry: Lea Dawn Throckmorton (Shane), Julie Renee Foster (Brent), Stephanie Fell, Travis Fell (Marcie); Larry Lee: Aaron Wade (Kristy, Charles Lundon Dunn; Stanley: Morgan Donald, Margaret Ann; 34 great-grandchildren - Kaylinda Elkins, Devin Milburn, Zechariah Akra, Aaron Wilson, Zaylyn Decker, Cora Decker, Savannah Tredway, Aaliyah Tredway, Angelica Morris, Shawn Donald Keeler, Tari Jo McCracken, Melissa Zerbs, Jeremy Micheal Clark, Kelli Michelle Clark, Patrick Anthony Clark, Jenna Lea Russell, James Ray Russell, Daniel Bryant Keeler, Hannah Grace Keeler, Alyssa Michelle Keeler, Christopher Alan Jr. (CJ) Keeler, Talon Andrew Keeler, Michael Scott Welch, Nathan Christopher Welch, Brittany Throckmorton, Eric Throckmorton, Treyton Foster, Jadyn Foster, Paxton Foster, Kendahl Fell, Ashley Nicole Keeler, Toshia Lay (Matt), Breanna Eileen Keeler, Alyssa Aryn Keeler , 10 great-great grandchildren - Jayce Elkins, Izlee Wilson, Rubi Kaye McCracken, Lyza June McCracken, Ryan Parker Zerbs, Jadyn Throckmorton, Jordyn Throckmorton, Zoey Throckmorton, Steve Keeler, Jackson Lay ; and numerous family members and friends.

Visitation will be from 2:00 – 4:00 pm on Sunday, Feb. 3rd at Melby Mortuary, Mankato, Kansas. The funeral service will be at 10:00 am Monday, Feb 4th, 2013, at the United Methodist Church in Courtland, Kansas, with Pastor Kathy Aeillo officiating. Mrs. Judy Blackburn will be (was) organist, and a duet by Phillip and Lori Menhusen. The hymns will be (were): “I’ll Fly Away,” “Old Rugged Cross,” When They Ring the Golden Bells,” and “God Will Take Care of You.” The Casket Bearers will be, (were): Greg Keeler, Brian Keeler, Christopher Keeler, Morgan Keeler, Michael Welch , and Nathan Welch. Honorary casket bearer will be (were): Kevin Harper, Aaron Keeler, Charles Jacobson, Jerry Kinsey, Rob Bonjour, Charlie Smies, and Mamoud Fazelipour. Burial will be(was) in the Pleasant View Cemetery, Southeast of Montrose, Kansas. Memorials may be made to Courtland United Methodist Church or The Belleville Health Care Center, in care of Melby Mortuary, PO Box 384, Mankato, KS 66956.
