Edith Arlene Fearing

Arlene Fearing of Newberry died at home Monday, October 15, 2012. She was 86.
Arlene was born in Jewell County, Kansas, and moved to Newberry from Clermont, Florida 10 years ago. She was a retired real estate broker. She also worked as a purchasing agent for Konsler Steel and as a postal clerk. She was a Methodist.
Survivors include a son, Randy (Judy) Fearing of Gainesville; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Jean D. Fearing; infant son, Timothy; two brothers, Delbert and Leland.

A celebration of life service for Arlene Fearing will be Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 2:00 p.m., at United Methodist Church, Burr Oak, Kansas, with Pastor Gerry Sharp officiating. Interment will be in the Burr Oak Cemetery, Burr Oak, Kansas. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 26, 2012, at the Melby Mortuary Chapel, Mankato, Kansas, with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The family suggests memorials donations to Burr Oak Cemetery.
