Leo Anderson McCue of Mankato, Kansas, formerly of Stockton, Kansas, was born to Thomas Francis and Mary Amy (Anderson) McCue, on March 14, 1924, on a farm in rural Phillips County, Kansas, and passed away on September 2, 2011, at the Jewell County Hospital, Mankato, Kansas, at the age of 87 years.
He married Marlene Long on August 25, 1960. Leo was employed as a custodian at the Stockton Grade School, and retired in 1989.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and two sisters. Leo is survived by his loving wife, Marlene of the home; his sister-in-law, Marie McCue, and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial of Life Celebration Service will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, September 6, 2011, a the Christian Church, Mankato, Kansas, with Pastor Thaddeus Hinkle officiating.
Inurnment will follow the service in the Mount Hope Cemetery, Mankato. Kansas. The family suggests memorials in honor of Leo McCue to be donated to the Christian Church.
Leo requested cremation before the service. Friends who would like to sign the memorial book are invited to do so on Monday, September 5, 2001, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Mortuary.
