Jason Lynn Cross, 23, of Jamestown, Kansas, passed from this life on July 2, 2011, at Lovewell Lake, Webber, Kansas, doing one of the things he loved most. He was born in Kansas City, Missouri, on September 17, 1987.

Jason loved spending time with his son, Kynan and brothers; Payton and Dylan and many friends. His family and friends were very important to him. He loved fishing, riding 4-wheelers, motorcycles, and working on anything with a motor.

Jason leaves behind a son -Kynan Orval Cross (Bude); two brothers – Payton Cross and Dylan Cross; and his parents – Wade and Rita Cross, all of Jamestown, Kansas; two nieces, Makinna Cross of Jamestown and Bailey Freed of Scandia, Kansas; grandparents – Glenn and Dee Baugh of Minneapolis, Kansas, and Irene Cross of Jamestown, Kansas; great-grandmother, Norma Windholz of Minneapolis, Kansas; several Aunts; Uncles; Cousins; his very special Lady – Stacy Lewis of Lincoln, Kansas; and a host of other relatives and friends.

His smile and laughter will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

A graveside memorial service will be held at the Jamestown Cemetery, Jamestown, Kansas, on Saturday, July 9th, 2011, at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor Judy Hill officiating. Jason was escorted to his final resting place by his two loving brothers, Payton and Dylan Cross. Others in attendance were asked to consider their presence as an honorary bearer. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be given to Jason’s son, Kynan Cross, in care of Rita Cross. Jason was cremated, friends may sign the register book, from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 8, 2011, at the Melby Mortuary Chapel, Mankato, Kansas.
